DIAMOND

The Diamond design, pages 106 to 109, allows the Byzantine chain to be composed into geometric ‘diamond’ shapes that can be fulfilled with gemstone beads. The example necklace and pendant are crafted from copper round wire and set with malachite beads within each formation. The geometry of the diamond can be utilized repetitively as the pendant depicts or several diamonds can be added sequentially into a Byzantine chain necklace.
