Getting Started

You will need two pair of flat-nose pliers, one in each hand to work in tandem. Start by separating the silver rings from the smaller bronze rings into two metal types, twist open each ring by 30-degrees with your dominant hand pushing and your non-nominate hand pulling.

The Japanese 12-1 chain-maille pattern starts with twelve rings added to one ring as shown. The red represents the smaller bronze rings and the green represents the large silver rings, using two different colors or metals will help to visually simplify the radial pattern of this chain design
