Scott David Plumlee will teach you to apply a variety of innovative wire to pier bead setting techniques in this one-day cold-connection class where students will complete an 8-inch beaded flower chain bracelet. Bypassing the need for a hot-torch, students will utilize simple hand tools to hold gemstone beads on argentium silver wire and then set them into a dynamic chain design composed of flush-cut and tumbled argentium sterling silver jump rings. Bracelets will be completed with your choice of a super-strong magnetic clasp or a traditional hand-forged s-clasp; both clasping techniques will be demonstrated. Some basic chain working knowledge is helpful, but no experience is required. This class is offered Thursday, June 5, 8:00-3:00pm. |
