Inca Puño - Getting Started

Start by making a twist-tie from a three-inch length of wire, this will help define a beginning point to work in a linear direction. Before you begin assembling the chain, separate your jump rings into piles of four, this will assist the repeated counting sequence of four rings.

Add six jump rings onto the twist-tie in a 2+2+2 pattern. The first pair (shown in blue) are of a smaller diameter to help taper the chain. Be sure to close each ring flush, utilizing the file and sanding pad to remove any burrage and smooth each ring's joint.
