YINYANG

The Yinyang design, pages 110 to 113, allows the Byzantine chain to be composed into a rectangle that is elongated from opposite comers and divided into two diamond shapes that are embellished with gemstones. The example bracelet is crafted from brass round wire and set with pearl and hematite. To capture the visual metaphor, I am utilizing an asymmetrical pearl to symbolize the feminine yin, balanced by the metallic shine of hematite for the masculine yang.
